Smoke and Soot Escapes

In any fire the smoke and soot in the air try to escape from the many different areas of the house. One spot you can always look at to see how much smoke traveled through your house is by taking a look at the air intake. 

Smoke and Soot in a home or business will always try and find the path of least resistance to vacate the room or property. So when looking for signs of a fire, always stop by the air in-take to inspect what was collected. Also keeping in mind that if the air is on, it is moving the soot and smoke through your HVAC system.
