The Thermobil is a great tool to utilize in crawl spaces.
The Thermobil is such a great tool and just one more reason to choose SERVPRO of Fayetteville. Tools can make or break you on the job. The Thermobil is a tool that SERVPRO of Fayetteville has added to our arsenal in order to help our customers during their time of need.
SERVPRO of Fayetteville went to speak with a customer about mold and moisture in their crawl space. The entire crawl space was affected and the mold needed to be removed so the structure could dry properly. The structure being over three thousand square feet was a lot to dry with air movers and dehumidifiers. I know what your thinking... “That doesn’t make any sense! Why would you put air movers and dehumidifiers in a crawl space?!” WELL.. We wouldn’t.
The customer was so happy to find a local company that wasn’t trying to put thirty pieces of equipment in their home.
SERVPRO of Fayetteville was able to save the customer time and money by adding the Thermobil to the drying process.
We saved the customer time and money, but also allowed the customer to spend their time of the drying process, not hearing the beautiful sounds of white noise that come from the SERVPRO air movers and dehumidifiers.
Choosing SERVPRO of Fayetteville allows you to be able to know that your residential and commercial needs are taken care of by professionals that are thinking about your needs first!
We understand that growing a business is about relationship more than it is making money. Taking care of our community through using integrity, honor, and loyalty, so that we can come in and out of your lives "Like it never even happened."
The Thermobil has become one of the tools in our arsenal that allows us to be above the rest so that we can take care of our community better!
Be a Thermostat

Checking up on the crews to see how progress was going, and Jason crawled back out to say hello!
Everyday when we have our W.I.P. meeting, I always love to start off by motivating our staff. If you have done any restoration work as a technician, you know staying motivated is not the easiest task in our line of work. The customer is usually upset about whatever loss they are experiencing. Some of the customers are a little more picky than expected. The adjusters can make your day a little more complicated also. And on top of all that, now your in a crawl space.
I have been teaching our staff the importance of being the thermostat instead of a thermometer.
Stay with me for a moment...
When SERVPRO of Fayetteville walks into a commercial of residential loss, the customer is already having a bad day. We can walk into the loss and take on the upset attitude and tension around us, or we can set the tone and start to adjust the atmosphere by being joyful, compassionate, and empathetic about what they are going through.
We set the temperature by being a thermostat of JOY in peoples lives daily. You can be a thermometer and let everything and everyone else set the tone of how your day goes, but you will find yourself on a roller coaster of emotions.
SERVPRO of Fayetteville is the best at restoration, we just decided to separate ourselves from the competition by making JOYFUL SERVICE part of our standard operating procedures.

Fire Safety for Kids
3/17/2020 (Permalink)
Kids are naturally curious.
According to the American Burn Association, children are the most susceptible to burn injuries. 73% of all burn injuries happen in the home. At some point in time, children are going to be curious about fire, but it can be dangerous and costly. Here are some tips to follow to keep your family safe according to the National Protection Association:
- Be sure to keep all matches and lighters out of the reach of children, preferably somewhere up high or in a locked cabinet.
- Closely supervise your children, making sure that they are away from any fire sources, including lit candles, cigarettes, fire pits, and stoves.
- Take advantage of any opportunity to teach your children about fire safety.
- Explain that fires are something to be taken seriously as they move very fast and can hurt you with contact.
- Teach young children to not touch matches or lighters, and to notify an adult immediately if found.
- Establish a clear set of rules and consequences about unsupervised and unapproved uses of fire.
- Remember, children are always watching. Make sure you set a good example by handling fire in a safe manner.
- Show your children appreciation for displaying respect and age-appropriate responsibility when it comes to fire.
If your children happen to burn themselves, cool the burn by running it under cold water for 10 to 15 minutes. If it is a more serious burn, CALL 9-1-1.
SERVPRO of Fayetteville now uses Matterport Technology!

What a Matterport photo looks like
Traditionally, restoration companies scoped projects by sending a technician to photograph and measure a home or business, a process often requiring three or more site visits. For SERVPRO of Fayetteville, 3D capture transformed their workflow, eliminating the need for multiple visits to document hundreds of 2D photographs and manual measurements. Our investment is producing excellent upside, enabling the company to provide greater transparency of site conditions to adjusters and owners. When we receive a call from a customer, saying their home or business is damaged, the company captures the space with the Matterport Pro2 camera, uploads the scan to the cloud, and uses the 3D model to assess the damage, scope the work, and capture measurements. We are now able to produce an estimate more efficiently! By sharing the 3D models with stakeholders, we’ve reduced the number of inquiries and disputes from insurance adjusters, building consultants, and owners. 24-Hour Emergency Service Faster to Any Size Disaster Highly Trained Restoration Technicians A Trusted Leader in the Restoration Industry Locally Owned and Operated Advanced Restoration and Cleaning Equipment Have Questions? Why Does Response Times Matter?

Water damaged floor
Why a fast response is critical
When your home or business becomes a victim of disaster, time is of the essence. When it is your home or business on the line, you don’t have the benefit of waiting for help—you need it right away.
We understand that a fast response is critical, which is why a rapid response to any size disaster is more than just a slogan for us.
Water damage can occur through various ways such as flooding, appliance and/or plumbing failures, storm damage and fire damage, as water is used to put out the fires. In only a matter of mere minutes, water can spread throughout your property, saturating everything (i.e., walls, floors, upholstery and your belongings) in its path.
The effects of water damage within the first 24 hours include:
- Drywall beginning to swell and break down
- Metal surfaces beginning to tarnish
- Furniture beginning to swell and crack
- Dyes and inks from cloth and paper items spreading and staining
- The beginning of a musty odor
The damage continues to worsen as time goes on. Between 48 hours and a week later, you could begin to see:
- The growth and spreading of mold and mildew
- Swelling and warping of doors, windows and studs
- Metal beginning to rust and corrode
- Paint beginning to blister
- Wood flooring swelling and warping
- The possibilities of serious biohazard contamination
Water damage left unchecked for over a week leads to significantly increased costs and restoration time and can also impact structural safety.
We’re Here to Help
We will provide an immediate response to any size disaster, which can help minimize the damage and keep cleaning and restoration costs manageable.
SERVPRO of Fayetteville is locally owned and operated so we are close by when you need us and ready to respond whenever the call comes in.
